Cornwall Police Charge KATLEN MOORE After Driving Into Porch 082117

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Francis Carver, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on August 17th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 17th, 2017 the man was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2017.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Michael Pare, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on August 18th, 2017 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 18th, 2017 the man entered a Second Street East store and selected a quantity of cheese making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2017.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 18th, 2017 and charged with breach of probation for communicating with his ex-girlfriend, being within 500 meters of where she resides and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 5th, 2017 the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend while she was at her residence and police were contacted to investigate. On August 18th, 2017 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Katlen Moore, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on August 18th, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on August 18th, 2017 the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when she struck a porch on Eleventh Street West. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 31st, 2017.

Cornwall, ON – Abraham Day, 42 of Akwesasne was arrested on August 19th, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged in the early morning hours of August 19th, 2017 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Thirteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 31st, 2017.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 19th, 2017 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged in August, 2017 the woman drove pass her ex-partner’s residence on several occasions despite having been warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 19th, 2017 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2017. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Photius Moshanas, 60 of Cornwall was arrested on August 19th, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on August 19th, 2017 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Eighth Street East. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 31st, 2017.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Andrew Servais, 31 was arrested on August 19th, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged on August 19th, 2017 the man assaulted a man known to him and police were contacted to investigate. The man then attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2017.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, CARRY A CONCEALED WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Gobinath Sivanathan, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on August 20th, 2017 and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carry a concealed weapon and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 20th, 2017 while in the area of the Cornwall Harbour the man threatened a youth with knives and police were contacted to investigate. Police attended the area and located the man a short distance away. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, On – A 28-year-old North Dundas man was arrested on August 20th, 2017 and charged with mischief, breach of recognizance for contacting his ex-girlfriend and for being within 100 meters of where she might be. It is alleged on August 14th, 2017 the man was found to be in breach of his conditions when he damaged his ex-girlfriend’s car. On August 20th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 28th, 2017. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, PERSONATION, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Richmond Hill youth was arrested on August 20th, 2017 and charged with the following:

  • Possession of heroin
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Breach of probation for possession of drugs and for failing to keep the peace.

It is alleged on August 20th, 2017 police attended the Via Rail station for a suspicious person’s call. Once on scene they located the youth who falsely identified himself to police. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and crystal meth. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
