Charges laid for Assault against Ottawa nanny
(Ottawa)—In July 2018, the Ottawa Police Service received a complaint that a female had been assaulting two children under the age of 2 years old as she was caring for them as their nanny. An investigation was conducted by the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit.
On Friday, August 17, 2018, Kaylee LEWIS, 26 years old, of Ottawa was charged with 2 counts of Assault and 2 counts of Duty of Persons to Provide Necessaries of life.
She will appear in court today.
Sexual Assault and Child Abuse investigators are concerned there may be other victims, considering Lewis has been working with children as a nanny for many years and she also participated in after school programs.
