Winterfest is Here!
Are you suffering from the mid February blues? The city of Cornwall has a remedy in the form of the 3rd annual Cogeco Winterfest Carnaval.
“This year promises to be yet another great success with a wonderful line up of activities and entertainment” said City Councillor Kim Baird, “The carnaval is a true celebration of everything winter.”
The festival boasts events that are appropriate for the whole family.
Celebrate Winter – February 14-15, 2010 in Lamoureux Park in Downtown Cornwall. Activities will take place from noon to 4 pm both days. There is also one activity at Big Ben on Feb 14th.
Big Ben will host the Snow Jam with Bands performing as follows: 1pm EWA – 2pm Dark Days or Fair – 3pm Fathom Ties.
They include: ice sculpture demonstrations, skating with the 
Cornwall Colts, snowboarding, snowshoeing, maple taffy demonstrations, arts and crafts, entertainment and more.
Between the hours of 11 am and 5 pm there will be free shuttle service from several locations throughout the City.
The service has been made available through First Student Bus Line.
