Not a lot of games to report on. The Habs took the news of no action on deadline day and responded with a 5-1 trouncing at the hands of the Buffalo Sabres. Patrick Lalime of all goalies looked like Jaroslav Halak and was the games first star making 38 saves as the Habs outshot the Sabres; a rarity for them; and were blown out.
Detroit also beat Colorado 3-2.
