“If I Run It Will be to Win” Mark MacDonald on Running for Mayor of Cornwall Ontario – January 3, 2009

Cornwall City Councilor Mark MacDonald denies rumors of his run for mayor of Cornwall Ontario.

I spoke with Councilor MacDonald Saturday morning about the city and things political as well as his journey to Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics where he’s volunteering.

Mark will be at the main venue, BC Place for the opening and closing of the Olympics as he volunteers in the Radio Distribution and Technical center.

“Cornwall City Hall has a culture of arrogance. ” He stated.   Which he feels colours many of the decisions made by City management and council.

He said he’s still mulling over whether to run and that the single minded focus needed to run is something he’s considering in regards to his family and other obligations.

Nominations open Monday January 4th until September.

What do you think Cornwall?  Would you vote  Mark MacDonald for Mayor?
