Setnyk who recently booked bands on the patio of the RCAF for Waterfest, is working with Gaye Adams and Downtown Cornwall again, this time to bring a show case of music to the Farmer’s Market.

The Cornwall Farmers’ Market Music Showcase is on Saturday, August 21st, 2010. The market is located at George Assaly Lane off of Pitt Street (between 2nd and 3rd street) in beautiful downtown Cornwall Ontario.

There will be live acoustic music by: Mark MacDonald, Liz Leduc, Geneviève Lacroix, Keegan Larose with Cody Bourget and Matthew Atchison, Craig ‘Lones’ Loney, and Chris Lavoie. Jason Setnyk is your host for the event.

The live music goes from 10am to 1pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed and encouraged to support our local musicians!

“Farmers feed people, artists feed the soul!” The musicians playing have indicated that the money they make is going towards a very special cause. The only way to find out what is to attend the show!

About the musicians: Mark MacDonald who is a City Councillor and running for mayor, is also a very talented folk musician. Geneviève Lacroix is a hidden musical jem in Cornwall Ontario, her voice is truly angelic and amazing.

Craig ‘Lones’ Loney use to play in local metal band Hexxt, but now he is rocking out on acoustic guitar. Keegan Larose is quickly making a name for himself in Cornwall, recently playing Arts in the Park and the Sounds of Buskerville.

Liz Leduc recently played her first show at an Open Mic and she is looking forward to playing her second show at the Cornwall Farmers Market. Local artist and event coordinator Jason Setnyk will host this event.
