Carey Price and the Habs Win 3-2 over Penguins – Cammallieri notches 2 – Leafs Impeach Senators 5-1 – NHL SCORES and News – Cornwall Ontario – October 10, 2010

Cornwall ON – My favorite Hab Mike Cammallieri showed his value to Montreal in their 3-2 win over the vaunted Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday.

Carey Price got a well earned win as Montreal was out shot 38-27 in Pittsburgh.    The Penguins, still stinging from last year’s play off loss only managed 2 points from Messers Crosby and Malkin.

In other NHL Scores Toronto hammered the Sens 5-1.  The Leafs owned Ottawa with 38 shots to Ottawa’s 18.  Sergei Gonchar was a -3 for the night while newcomers Clarke MacArthur and Kris Versteeg had a goal and an assist making an easy night of work for JS Gigeure.

Phoenix battered the Bruins 5-2 with Nathan Horton potting 2 for the B’s.  Columbus 3-2 over the Sharks in OT; the Rangers double the Sabres 6-3 with 20 year old Derek Stepan notching a hat trick in his first game in the NHL!   Dallas beat the Islanders 5-4 in the shootout; Washington destroyed the New Jersey Devils and goalie Martin Brodeur 7-2; Steve Stamkos 2 goals made the difference as Tampa Bay beat Atlanta 5-3; Jaroslav Halak picked up the win as St Louis edged Philadelphia 2-1; Nashville 4-1 over Anaheim; Detroit edges Chicago 3-2; and LA 2-1 over Vancouver in the Shoot Out.

NHL news bits and bobs.   Islander Franchise player John Tavares was diagnosed with a concussion after a big hit.   Zdeno Chara re signs with Boston for 7 years, and the Vancouver Canucks name Henrik Sedin their new captain.
