Habs edge Senators 4-3 – NHL Scores – October 16, 2010 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Newsy would be proud of tonights 4-3 Montreal Win over Ottawa.   Not because they were great, but they pulled together as a team.

The came back.  They fought; they got their act together and they got the W.

And that’s what winning hockey is a about.   You win as a team and you lose as a team.

And that’s what life’s about, but sadly not enough people live that motto.

Tonight the Habs did.   Carey Price game up a couple bad goals and was showing a top side glove weakness and then made a big glove save on a 2 on 1 which turned the momentum.

Tomas Plekanec scored the go ahead goal and the rest is another chapter in a tale that hopefully will end in another strong play off run.

The score did not belie the reality of the game.  Montreal out classed and out played the Sens out shooting Ottawa 40-19.

8 Shots were from Mike Cammalleri who was held off the score board.

In other NHL scores; the Florida Panthers humiliated Tampa Bay 6-0; the Islanders engulfed Colorado 5-2; it was the Bruins 4-1 over the Devils; Sydney Crosby’s 2 power play goals helped the Penguins clip Philadelphia 5-1.

The Caps 3-2 over Nashville in OT;  Minnesota loses to the Blue Jackets 3-2; Dallas 3-2 over St. Louis in the shoot out; Marty Turco picked up the win as the Hawks edged Buffalo 3-2; Detroit 2-1 in OT over Phoenix; 3 3rd period goals by Calgary gave them the 5-3 win over Edmonton; and to celebrate Joe Thornton’s new 3 year contract extension Atlanta doubled the Sharks 4-2.
