Cornwall ON – The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre (CBEC) is pleased to announce that two of its Summer Company Students have been chosen to appear in the 2010 Summer Company Yearbook spread for Ontario.
Summer Company is a unique program designed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to help young entrepreneurs prosper. By providing a chance to create their own small businesses, Summer Company allows students to take charge as their own boss, helping them to develop business skills early in life.
The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre had fifteen Summer Company students this past summer.
Leslie Lavictoire of Industrial Innovations and Thomas Cloutier of Cedar Rock Wood Turning have been chosen by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to appear in the annual yearbook which showcases Summer Company success in Ontario.
Lavictoire will also be featured in a new four page regional success flyer for Eastern Ontario. These materials will be available on the Summer Company website in the New Year.
“The CBEC is very proud of the accomplishments made by our Summer Company students” said Katherine Turgeon-Brunet, Youth Coordinator at the CBEC. “It is a great program which we hope will continue to grow in Cornwall and S.D. & G”
Applications for the 2011 Summer Company program will be accepted in January and can be found at www.ontario.ca/summercompany
