Cornwall ON – That’s Tom Harrington, new host of CBC TV’s long time favorite show of mine, Marketplace. He will be popping onto Seawayradio.com Sunday night at 7:45 PM EST.
You won’t want to miss it as we’ll ask him about being the new co-host with Erica Johnson and about the hot topic of Friday January 28, those Water Testing companies that are allegedly using tactics that are worthy of a Marketplace investigation!
Clean Water, Dirty Sales (originally scheduled for Jan. 21) will now air on Friday, Jan. 28, at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT). In this edition, MARKETPLACE goes undercover to expose the techniques used in door-to-door sales of water purification systems—devices that can cost thousands of dollars, but which most people simply may not need. Co-host Tom Harrington investigates the scare tactics used to entice people to buy—and meets an elderly woman who spent $3,500 on a purification system.
Marketplace airs Fridays at its new time, 8 p.m. (8:30 NT), on CBC Television.
