Vagina Monologues Fundraiser SOLD OUT – Bid for a Full Page ad in The Program! – February 7, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – The Vagina Monologues is completely sold out!   That’s amazing news for the entire team and for Sexual Support Services for Women of SDG&A as they are the beneficiaries of the event!

Lisa Montroy sent us in this statement:

For the second straight year Cornwall has overwhelmingly supported our fundraising effort for Sexual Assault Support Services for Women of SDG&A. We are extremely grateful for this. The Vagina Monologues is a particularly important and powerful tool to end violence against women and girls and we are very proud to bring this show to Cornwall.

Ninety percent of the proceeds from this event will go directly to help women in our community and the remaining ten percent will go to the women and girls of Haiti. I would personally like to acknowledge all the people of the community who are involved in this year’s production-the 20 women in the cast who have donated so much of their time, the 14 volunteers, the Director-Colin Tierney and Assistant Director-Amanda Marini-Rohde and Seaway Valley Theatre Company for generously donating their sound and light equipment and technical expertise the night of the show. It will be a great night!

And we’d like to make this wonderful event and fund raiser even more successful by auctioning off our full page ad in the program for The Vagina Monologues!   That’s hopefully another $1000.00 for the evening.     All you have to do to bid is post below.  Please include your name and enter your correct email address when you post as we will contact bidders.

The auction will start today and end February 15th at 4PM EST as the organizers need your content by the 18th.  Good luck and bid high as it’s for an amazing cause!
