Habs Beat Atlanta 3-1 – Flames Shut Out Blues – Sens lose to Bruins – NHL SCORES – March 1, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON – Max Pacioretty doesn’t really look like a power forward, but he’s performing as one.  Fast; good hands, and this season; playing on the top line, is showing a ton of confidence that’s leading to points on the board as it did tonight against Atlanta.

Montreal was out shot; badly, 41-23, but beat Atlanta 3-1.   Max led the Habs with a goal, assist, and was +2 for the night.    Scott Gomez had a good game too as the Habs just did it better tonight.

Ottawa is doing it better losing to Boston 1-0.   Calgary did it best though shutting out St. Louis 6-0 as the team has reversed its early season malaise.

In other NHL games Buffalo beat the Rangers 3-2; Alex Ovechkin scored the winner in OT leading Washington to a 2-1 over the Islanders.   Jason Arnott had an assist and 3 shots for his first game with the Caps; and Carolina kept play off pace nipping Florida 2-1.

Four other games were in progress as of print time.
