Habs Destroyed by Bruins 7-0 – Sens Win – Leafs beat Colorado – NHL Scores – March 25, 2011

Cornwall ON – I’m normally a bit hard on Habs goalie Carey Price, but I feel sorry for him this morning.

The Habs were destroyed by the Bruins 7-0 Thursday night.  This was a gut test game for the team after Boston D man Zdeno Chara literally broke Max Pacioretty’s neck in a brutal hit.

Bruins forward Gregory Campbell’s dad Colin is in charge of league discipline and no suspensions were given to Mr. Chara.   Greg scored two goals in the game.

It was a time for Montreal to step up and instead they stepped down as a team and Mr. Price was eventually replaced by back up Alex Auld.

Games like this are opportunities for Management, ownership, and of course the fans to really look at their team.   This was not the best snapshot for the current model of the Montreal Canadiens and probably not a good model for a team that wants to play right to the end.

In other NHL Scores; Atlanta edged the Islanders 2-1; the Sens beat the Rangers 2-1 in OT; Pittsburgh nipped Philly 2-1; Jaroslav Halak shut out the Oilers 4-0; Sergei Kostitsyn 2 goals helped Nashville to a 5-4 win over Anaheim; the Leafs beat Colorado 4-3; Phoenix shut out Columbus 3-0 and Los Angeles beat San Jose 4-3.
