Habs Clinch Play Off Spot with 2-1 Win over Stanley Cup Defending Chicago Black Hawks – Sens Stun Flyers – NHL Scores – April 6, 2011

Cornwall ON – Good things happen when you shoot the puck generally.  Andrei Kostitsyn is figuring that out as he recorded 5 shots on goal in Montreal’s 2-1 OT victory over the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Black Hawks.

His 2 assists were the difference along with Carey Price kicking out 42 of 43 shots against.

The win clinched a play off spot for the Habs.

In other NHL scores Thomas Vanek’s Hat Trick was the difference as the Buffalo Sabres beat Tampa Bay 4-2; Washington needed the shoot out to beat the Leafs 3-2; Pittsburgh doubled the Devils 4-2; Ottawa made some Pro Line gamers happy beating Philly 5-2; St.Louis 3 – Colorado 1; Sergei Kostitsyn and Jordin Tootoo each had 2 goals as Nashville doubled Atlanta 6-3; Dallas shut out Columbus 3-0, and Devan Dubnyk kicked out 26 Vancouver shots as Edmonton shut out the Canucks 2-0.
