All eyes turn to Rome. Nathan Horton knocked out as Bruins Stomp Canucks 8-1 in Game 3 of Stanley Cup Final – June 7, 2011 – Cornwall Ontario

Cornwall ON- Aaron Rome woke up the Boston Bruins by putting Nathan Horton to sleep in game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.   Rome stood up Horton at the blue line with a hit that knocked the Bruins star play off performer out of the game and most likely out of the series.

The Canucks have been standing up the physically imposing Bruins who usually are the ones that like to throw their weight around and bully the opposition.

The Bruins responded by scoring 8 goals on Roberto Luongo.   Vancouver out shot Boston 41-38, but Tim Thomas stood on his head, his foot, his pinky, and kicked out all but one shot.

Fasten your seat belts hockey fans, this is going to be a great and bumpy series.

Michael Ryder led the Bruins with 3 points.

In the end Vancouver is still up on the series 2 games to 1.   Horton missing will not bode well for Tim Hudak’s favorite team and it should be very interesting to see how both teams respond in the next game which should make or break the series.
