Deer Crash Kills Motorcyclist Roch Pierre Thibodeau of North Glengarry and Pick Up in Cornwall Ontario Kills another – June 17, 2011


CFN – On16 Jun 11, at approximately 10:40pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a collision on County Road 24, North Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that the 36yr old male driver (Roch Pierre THIBODEAU of North Glengarry) was west bound on County Road 24, (near Blyth Road) when his 2001 Yamaha motorcycle struck a deer.

The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. A section of County Road 24 was closed as SD&G OPP officers assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Investigators continued the investigation.

The roadway was reopened at approximately 6:30am.

FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision which occurred at the intersection of South Branch Road and McConnell Avenue shortly after 04:30 pm. on this date.  A motorcyclist was travelling westbound on South Branch Road when he was struck by the driver of a pick-up truck travelling eastbound proceeding north on to McConnell Avenue.  The motorcyclist’s identity will be released pending notification of next of kin.  The motor vehicle collision is still under investigation.
