SERIOUS CRASH ON HIGHWAY 401
(Gananoque, ON) – On June 29, 2012 at approximately 4:27pm a collision occurred on Highway 401 east bound near Gananoque, Ontario.
Two tractor trailers and two passenger vehicles were involved. The tractor trailer units were completely destroyed by a fire caused as a result of the crash.
Four (4) people received from minor to moderate injuries. One tractor trailer driver received serious, non-life threatening injuries.
The Leeds and Grenville EMS and the Township of the Leeds and Thousand Islands Fire Department responded with the Leeds County – Thousand Islands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
Charges are pending.
