WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Wesley Gray, 63 of Akwesasne was arrested on September 13th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on September 4th, 2012 he failed to attend court and a bench warrant was sought. He was released to appear in court on October 9th, 2012.

 

BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on September 13th, 2012. The youth was bound by a Youth Probation Order with the conditions of not to have contact with a certain youth and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on September 13rd, 2012 the youth was located by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be in the accompany of the said youth. The youth was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to an adult to appear in court on November 1st, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON- Raymond Saumure, 46 of Cornwall was arrested on September 14th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of no contact with a female if either of you have consumed alcohol or non prescribed drugs and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on September 14th, 2012 he was located with the said female while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and released to appear in court on October 23rd, 2012.

Cornwall, ON- William Thompson, 26 of Akwesasne was arrested on September 15th, 2012. He was bound by a conditional sentence order with the relevant condition of a curfew from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. It is alleged that shortly prior to 1:00 am he attended the Canadian Border Service Agency. He was detained and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with Breach of Conditional Sentance and held in custody until court later that day.

Cornwall, ON- Jason Cole, 27 of Akwesasne was arrested on September 16th, 2012. He was bound by a Conditional Sentence Order with the conditions to remain in the province of Ontario unless written permission to go outside the province is obtained from the court or the supervisor. It is alleged that on September 16th, 2012 he attended the Canadian Border Service Agency where it was deemed that he had failed to remain in Ontario. He was turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division and charged accordingly. He was held in custody until court later that day.

UNLAWFULLY IN DWELLING & CAUSE DISTURBANCE

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 13th, 2012. It is alleged that on September 13th, 2012, he attended his 44-year-old ex-girlfriends residence, gained entry and began to scream at her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Unlawfully in a Dwelling and Cause a Disturbance. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

 

THREATS, ASSAULT & BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- Yvon Lavergne, 55 of Cornwall was arrested on September 13th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also placed on a Recognizance to Keep the Peace with the relevant condition not to communicate directly or indirectly with a specific 66-year-old Cornwall man. It is alleged that on September 10th, 2012. He attended the 66-year-old’s man’s residence, assaulted him and uttered threats. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with  Breach of Probation Order, Breach of Recognizance,  Assault and Utter Threats. He was held in custody until court the following day.

HARASSING PHONE CALLS & BREACHES

            Cornwall, ON- A 64-year-old Ottawa woman was arrested on September 14th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that between April 30th, 2012 and September 1st, 2012 she continuously contacted her 77-year-old ex-husband. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Harassing Phone Calls and 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order. She was released to appear in court on October 23th, 2012. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim.

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80, FLIGHT FROM POLICE & BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- Daniel Bourdeau, 37 of Cornwall was arrested shortly after midnight on September 14th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of abstain from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances not to associate, contact or hold any communication with a certain female. If you have consumed alcohol in the previous twelve hours keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that he operated a motor vehicle on Walton Street while under the influence of alcohol and failed to stop for police. He was charged with Impaired Operation and transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over .80. He was also charged with Flight from Police and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on September 25th, 2012.

ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON- Three individuals were arrested at 2:45 am on September 15th, 2012 at a local establishment after they assaulted 2 other patrons. It is alleged that the three individuals got into an altercation with a 28-year-old man and a 25-year-old man which were strangers. The victims suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Samantha McGill, 26 of Cornwall and Tanner Jock, 21 of Akwesasne were both charged with Assault and released to appear in court on October 16th, 2012. Corby Jock, 26 of Akwesasne was bound by a Recognizance with the condition of a curfew between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am. He was charged with Assault and Breach of Recognizance. He held in custody until court the following day.

THEFT & BREACH

            Cornwall, ON- Robert Brannen, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on September 15th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions of Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and not to attend a certain store. He was also bound by an Undertaking with the conditions of Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and not to have in his possession any glue or any similar solvent type of intoxicating substances. It is alleged that on September 15th, 2012 he attended a Vincent Massey Drive store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Theft under $5000, 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON- A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 16th, 2012. It is alleged that between May 1st, 2012 and May 31st, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend when he assaulted her. The victim suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and released to appear in court on October 23rd, 2012. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.       

BREAK & ENTER

Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service are currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred on September 13th, 2012 at a Pitt Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed a VCR, Gold ring, crystal water vase, sunglasses, binoculars, clothing and DVD’s. DANGEROUS DRIVING & IMPAIRED OPERATION CAUSE BODILY HARM

            Cornwall, ON- Adbullah Alvi, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on September 16th, 2012. It is alleged that shortly before 7:30 pm on September 16th, 2012 he was operating a motor vehicle on Water Street while under the influence of alcohol and stunt racing. He got into a collision with another motor vehicle causing injuries to a 15-year-old female and a 16-year-old female passengers in his vehicle. The passengers were transported to hospital for medical treatment for no-life threatening injuries.  Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and 2 counts of Dangerous Driving causing bodily harm. He was released to appear in court on September 27th, 2012.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, THREATS & BREACHES

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 20-year-old Cornwall male was arrested on September 12th, 2012. He was bound by an Understand with the conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on August 12th, 2012 he got into an altercation with his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend when he threaten her with a knife. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Utter Threats and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

 

SHOPTHEFT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Ewen Thompson, 18 of North Lancaster was arrested on September 12th, 2012. It is alleged that on September 12th, 2012 he attended a Second Street store and removed property without making any attempt to pay for the item. He was detained by the store’s loss prevention officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. He was charged with Theft under $5000 and released to appear in October 30th, 2012.

 

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on September 12th, 2012. It is alleged that on September 12th, 2012 the youth became angry and stuck her 29-year-old mother with a broom handle and assaulted her. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Assault and Assault with a Weapon. The youth was released to an adult with a court date of October 18th, 2012. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

COMMUNITY SAFETY ALERT

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service would like to inform the public of an incident that occurred on September 12th, 2012. It is alleged that on September 12th, 2012 shortly prior to 9:30 pm a 13-year-old female youth was walking and was approached by a man driving an older model, 4 door, dark blue or black motor vehicle. The male driver offered the youth a ride. The youth was able to run to a nearby relative and contacted police. The male was described as mid 40’s, balding, short thin black hair on the side of his head, pale face with possibly a mustache. (North Stormont) – On 15Sept12, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on County Road 13, North Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that a 25yr old male driver (Brock WIJNBEEK of Ottawa, On) was operating a black Dodge pick-up truck (when for reasons under investigation) he lost control, went into the ditch and rolled over.

The male driver was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and arrested.

He faces charges of:

– Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
– Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear 27Sept12 in Cornwall court.
(South Dundas) – On 14Sept12, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a threatening on Ontario St. Morrisburg On.

The investigation revealed that a 22yr old male (Dennis PIUGATTUK of Igloolik, Nunavut) threatened two teenaged boys.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
– Assault
– Breach of Probation

He is scheduled to appear 06Nov12 in Morrisburg court.
THEFT

(North Dundas) – On 16Sept12, at approximately 1:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on South Wing Road, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) attended a farm and removed a 2009 International Farmall Tractor; the tractor was equipped with a front end- loader and rock picker.

The investigation is ongoing.

 
RACING LAW INFRACTION

– 16Sept12 (3:00pm), SD&G OPP officer stops a westbound Ford on Highway 401, South Dundas….154km/h (posted 100km/h zone).
