UTTER THREATS

            Cornwall, ON- Peter Brisson, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on December 13th, 2012. It is alleged that on December 12th, 2012 he uttered threats while at work. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Utter Death Threats and was held in custody until court later that day.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION & OVER 80

 

            Cornwall, ON- Eric Whitelaw, 18 of Hamilton, Ontario was arrested on December 13th, 2012. It is alleged that on December 13th, 2012 shortly prior to 4:00 p.m., he was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when he struck another motor vehicle at the intersection of Balmoral Avenue and Birmingham Street. The passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and Over .80. He was released to appear in court on December 20th, 2012.

 

WARRANT

 

            Cornwall, ON- Troy Point was arrested on December 13th, 2012 under the strength of four outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on September 29th, 2010 a bench warrant was sought for Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Breaches. On October 1st, 2010 and October 12th, 2012, he failed to attend court and Assault at which time 3 other warrants were sought. He was held in custody until court later that day.

Cornwall, ON- Grant Brazeau, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on December 14th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on October 25th, 2012 a Committal Warrant was issued for Driving While under Suspension. He was held in custody until court the following day.

Cornwall, ON- Melissa Chaisson, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on December 15th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on September 18th, 2012 she failed to attend court. She was released to appear in court of February 12th, 2013.

Cornwall, ON- Florencio Verdugo, 22 of Akwesasne was arrested on December 17th, 2012 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on September 9th, 2009 he met two males, which were nineteen and twenty-one at the time of the incident, when he assaulted them with a lacrosse stick and removed an undisclosed amount of money from them. The victims suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Robbery with violence, 2 counts of Assault with Weapon and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous purpose. He was held in custody until court later that day.

 

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON- Mathieu Lamarche, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on December 14th, 2012. He was bound by a Recognizance with the conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely or be found in any place where alcohol is sold; save restaurants and not be away from residence except in the company of your surety. He was also bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to Keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abstain from the purchase/possession/consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances in public. It is alleged that on December 14th, 2012 he was involved in an altercation while under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. During the investigation, he provided false identification to police. He was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance, personation and 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

Cornwall, ON- Kevin Westin, 26 of Ottawa was arrested on December 15th, 2012. He was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to notify change of address to Ottawa Police, keep the peace & be of good behaviour and not to possess a cell phone or any other communication device such as a pager. It is alleged that on December 15th, 2012 he was found by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division to be in possession of a cell phone and failing to notify the Ottawa Police of a change of address. He was charged with 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.

            Cornwall, ON- Brian Colborne, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on December 16th, 2012. He was bound by three Probation Order with the conditions of Keep the Peace and be of Good Bevahiour and abstain from the purchase/possession/consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances.  He was also bound by a Recognizance with the conditions to not associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a certain person and to abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely. It is alleged that on December 15th, 2012 he was found by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Community Patrol Division to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance and 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON- A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 14th, 2012. It is alleged that on August 25th, 2012 he inappropriately touched an 18-year-old family acquaintance. The victim did not require medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Sexual Assault and released to appear in court on January 29th, 2013 to answer to the charge. His name was not released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

DOMESTIC BREACHE

            Cornwall, ON- A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 14th, 2012. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to not to associate, contact or hold any communication directly or indirectly with his 34-year-old wife and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on December 12th and 13th, 2012 the male was found to be at his wife’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

MISCHIEF

            Cornwall, ON- Trevor Sauve, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on December 15th, 2012. It is alleged that on December 15th, 2012, he attended a 23-year-old acquaintance residence, caused damaged and unlawfully gained entry. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Mischief under $5000 and unlawfully in dwelling house. He was released to appear in court on January 22nd, 2013.

(North Glengarry) – On 15Dec12, at approximately 9:00pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on County Road 10, North Glengarry Township.

 

The stop revealed that the 50yr old male driver (William HAMBLETON of North Glengarry) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

 

He was arrested and faces charges of:

 

–       Impaired  Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol

–       Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle

 

He is scheduled to appear 09Jan13 in Alexandria court.

 

 

(South Glengarry) – On 16Dec12, at approximately 11:45pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on County Road 34, South Glengarry Township.

 

The stop revealed that the 54yr old male driver (Sewpersaud LATCHMAN of Bramalea, On) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

 

He was arrested and faces charges of:

 

–       Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol

–       Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle

 

He is scheduled to appear 06Feb13 in Alexandria court.

 

 

BREACHED CONDITIONS

 

(North Dundas) – On 16Dec12, at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a male breaching his earlier release conditions on South Wing Road, North Dundas Township.

 

The investigation revealed that a 21yr old male was not abiding by his release conditions as he was consuming alcohol and not obeying his curfew.

 

He was arrested and faces charges of:

 

–       Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance X2

 

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
