Cornwall PoliceFRAUD

 

            Cornwall, ON- Colin Ewen, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on January 21st, 2013. It is alleged that on December 2nd, 2012 he attended a local financial institution and forged false documents and provided false information. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He as was charged with Utter a Forged Document and False Pretences. He was held in custody until court the following day.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 21st, 2013. It is alleged that on January 19th, 2013 he got into an altercation with his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend when he assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Further investigation revealed that on July 1st, 2012 also he allegedly assaulted his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend. The victim did not require medical treatment. He was charged with 2 counts of Domestic Assault and held in custody until court later that day. His name was not released as is would identify the victim in this incident.

 

FAIL TO COMPLY

 

            Cornwall, ON- A 16-year-old St. Andrews West youth was arrested on January 21st, 2013. He was bound by a Recognizance with the condition not to have contact with his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend. It is alleged that on January 20th, 2013 he continuously texted his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim and as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREAK & ENTER

 

            Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a Break & Enter that occurred between January 20th, 2013 and January 21st, 2013 at a Gretchen Court residence. The suspect(s) gained entry and removed a 17” black laptop and a 7” Polaroid tablet. If you have any information regarding this break & enter, please contact the Service at 613-932-2110 or Crime Stoppers at 613-937-8477.

(South Glengarry) – On 22Jan13, at approximately 8:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft of a vehicle on Hickory St. South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed a 2010 Ford pick-up truck.

The investigation is ongoing.
