Waiting For Thai at the Long Sault Farmer’s Market by Reg Coffey – August 10, 2013

Waiting For Thai 9Aug13

CFN – Usually the first vendor to set up at the Long Sault Farmer’s Market, Thai to Go arrived just before the 2 PM scheduled opening. In the picture above you can see anxious shoppers waiting for their Friday Thai fix.

The weather co-operated with the market on Friday and gave us a beautiful day to be on the grass at the Long Sault shopping centre. There were lots of fresh produce, corn, strawberries, onions, potatoes, carrots, greens of all shapes, size and colours,  and baked goods, canned goods, buffalo meat, coffee and the aforementioned Thai food.

The vendor of the week is Swiss Farmer Bakeries and Regula, a seasoned Farmer’s Market professional, was ready to tell me all about her business.

We are into the dog days of August now and more and more produce are reaching the perfect stage in their life cycle to harvest. To purchase the best locally produced and freshest grown products be sure to come and join us on the grass at the Long Sault Shopping Centre on Friday afternoons from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Remember, rain or shine the Long Sault Farmer’s Market will be open, unless there is a tornado warning. Then we may close early.
