Threats & Knife Chasing in Cornwall Ontario – Blotter for April 10, 2015 #CCPS

Cornwall, ON – Stephanie Kirker, 29 and William Poitras, 59 both of Cornwall ware arrested on April 7th, 2015 and charged with breaching their undertakings for associating with each other and failing to keep the peace. Kirker was also charged with breaching a probation order for the same reasons. It is alleged that on April 5th, 2015 they were spotted together by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service and an investigation ensued. On April 7th, 2015 they both attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Paul Coleman, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on April 7th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man breached his conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 7th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Rivette, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on April 8th, 2015 and charged with three counts of threats, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. It is alleged that during an argument in the early morning hours of April 8th, 2015 the man threatened to kill three persons known to him and chased an 18-year-old man while holding a knife. Police were contacted to attend and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

ASSAULT, THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 8th, 2015 and charged with assault and threats. It is alleged that the man pushed his 41-year-old wife and threatened to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THEFT, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Laurin, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on April 8th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on April 8th, 2015 the man attended a Second Street East store and removed packages of meat making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. The man was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 19th, 2015.

 

ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, INTIMIDATION, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Marvin Bryan, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on April 9th, 2015 and charged with assault, forcible confinement, intimidation and breach of recognizance and probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of April 9th, 2015 the man pulled the hair of a 19-year-old woman and refused to let her exit his vehicle. The man then drove the woman to his residence where the woman was able text for help. Police attended the apartment, took the man into custody and charged him accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Angel Dore, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on April 2nd, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman was in breach of her conditional sentence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 2nd, 2015 the woman was located at her residence, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

Cornwall, ON – Yar Amini, 46 of Laval, Quebec was arrested on April 2nd, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the man failed to attend court on August 29th, 2014 for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 2nd, 2015 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the man from OPP as they had taken the man into custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The man was then held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Lavigne, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on April 2nd, 2015 and charged with breaching his recognizance for communicating and being within a certain distance of someone he has conditions to avoid. It is alleged that on April 1st, 2015 the man followed that person and drove past their residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 2nd, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

THREATS, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Steven Doychak, 42 of Cornwall was arrested on April 2nd, 2015 and charged with threats to life and breach of probation for being outside his residence after having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on April 2nd, 2015 the man who had been drinking threatened a 35-year-old man while outside his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH, POERSONATION, OBSTRUCT, ASSAULT POLICE

 

Cornwall, ON – Deborah Cooper, 45 of Cornwall was arrested on April 2nd, 2015 and charged with personation, obstruct police, assault and breach of probation for being under the influence of alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on April 2nd, 2015 the intoxicated woman falsely identified herself to police and later kicked an officer. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

 

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

 

Cornwall, ON – Randy Fontaine, 56 of Cornwall was arrested on April 3rd, 2015 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged that the man communicated with a 50-year-old man despite having been warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 3rd, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

MISCHIEF, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 3rd, 2015 and charged with mischief and breach of a youth probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that during an argument with his mother on April 3rd, 2015 the youth caused damage to the door window and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Andre Goulet, 56 of Cornwall was arrested on April 3rd, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that on April 3rd, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Ninth Street and Sydney Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 16th, 2015.

 

Cornwall, ON – Roy Lutz, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on April 5th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that on April 5th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street and Sydney Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 16th, 2015.

 

THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 4th, 2015 and charged with threats and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that during an argument on April 3rd, 2015 the man threatened to harm his 42-year-old girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 28th, 2015. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – Brittany Lague, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on April 4th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on March 31st, 2015 the woman attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 4th, 2015 the woman was spotted walking in the area of Pitt Street and Sunnyside. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 30th, 2015.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH, WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Laplante, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on April 4th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on April 4th, 2015 the woman attended a Ninth Street store and selected various merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and it was also learned that she was wanted on a warrant for another theft. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 6th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged that during an argument with his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend on April 6th, 2015 the man pushed her against the wall and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 12th, 2015. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
