Homicide on Appledoorn Avenue

 

(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit is investigating the homicide of two people on Appledoorn Ave.

On November 28th at about 9:30 pm the Ottawa Police Service received information from the Montreal Police (SPVM) that prompted a check on the welfare of the residents of a home on the 1600 block of Appledoorn Ave. Ottawa Police patrol officers attended the residence and discovered two victims of homicide.

They have been identified as Dave Rogers, 69, and Merrill Rogers, 63.

A 22 year old man is in custody in Montreal. Investigators from the Ottawa Police will return him to Ottawa today.

  1. Dave Rogers was a well respected employee of the Ottawa Citizen newspaper and both he and his wife were good, quiet neighbors in their neighborhood according to the paper. The Bible predicted children against their parents and this is exactly happening today as we speak. What a horrible society we live in.
