Man Charged After Facebook Message & Shoplifters in Cornwall Ontario JAN 16, 2017

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Angela Patsouris, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on January 13th, 2017 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on January 3rd, 2017 the woman entered a Second Street East store and removed merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 13th, 2017 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 23rd, 2017.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Justin Rainey, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on January 13th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant and charged with theft under and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 13th, 2017 the man attended a store at the Cornwall Square and selected clothing making no attempt to pay for the clothes as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and it was learned the man was also wanted on a warrant for theft under. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 13th, 2017 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on January 13th, 2017 the man communicated with his ex-common-law wife by way of Facebook, text messages and phone calls despite having been warned by her not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Delaina Mallory, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on January 14th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for consuming alcohol, being out past curfew and for not residing with her surety. She was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged in the early morning hours of January 14th, 2017 the intoxicated woman was causing a disturbance at a Pine Street residence. Police were contacted and found the woman in breach of her conditions. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Shari Gagnon, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on January 13th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant and charged with theft under. It is alleged on January 14th, 2017 the woman attended a store at the Cornwall Square and selected clothing making no attempt to pay for the clothes as she left the store. She was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and it was learned the woman was also wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Shawna Mitchell, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on January 15th, 2017 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of recognizance for being in a store without her surety. It is alleged on January 15th, 2017 the woman entered a Brookdale Avenue store without her surety and selected a quantity of cheese making no attempt to pay for the items a s she left the store. She was stopped by an off duty police officer and police were contacted. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 2nd, 2017.
