Cornwall Man Charged for Dropping Glass Jar #CCPS 110617

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – Linda Patterson, age 57, of Long Sault, was arrested on November 3, 2017. It is alleged that between September 2017 and October 2017, she repeatedly communicated with an acquaintance after being clearly warned by police, on behalf of the acquaintance, to cease contact. On October 31, 2017, police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. Linda Patterson was subsequently charged with Criminal Harassment. She was released to appear in court on December 21, 2017.

IMPAIRED

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Caza, age 52, of Long Sault, was arrested on November 3, 2017. He was located by police who were conducting a R.I.D.E. program in the west end of Cornwall. He was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 mls of blood. He was released to appear in court on November 23, 2017.

DOMESTIC THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 37 year old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 3, 2017. It is alleged that on this date she threatened to kill her common-law boyfriend with a knife. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The woman was charged with Uttering Threats. She was held for a Bail Hearing. Her name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

Cornwall, ON – A 41 year old Cornwall man was arrested on November 5, 2017. It is alleged that in September 2017, he threatened to damage his ex-wife’s motor vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The man was charged with Uttering Threats. He was held for a Bail Hearing. His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 23 year old Cornwall man was arrested on November 5, 2017. It is alleged that on this date he and his common-law girlfriend engaged in a verbal argument which escalated to him smashing a glass jar on the floor. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The man was charged with Mischief Under $5000. He was held for a Bail Hearing. His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

There were 117 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8am Friday to 8am Monday morning).
