CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 21st, 2018 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged between February 17th and 18th, 2018 the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend despite having been warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 29th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, OBSTRUCT POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Michelle David, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on February 21st, 2018 on the strength of a warrant for theft under $5000 and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and obstruct police. It is alleged while investigating a suspicious persons complaint on February 21st, 2018 the woman identified herself as someone else to police. Investigation revealed the woman was wanted on a warrant and was taken into custody. She was also found to be in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

There were 48 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
