Boring Police Blotter for Cornwall Ontario for APRIL 5, 2018

THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Scott Best, 46, of Cornwall was arrested on April 4th, 2018 and charged with threats and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 4th, 2018 the man threatened to harm a man who was known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 4th, 2018 and charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling. It is alleged on April 4th, 2018 the man entered the residence of a man who was known to him without permission and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 3rd, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.



CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 5th, 2018 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged between April 1st-4th, 2018 the man communicated with his girlfriend on several occasions despite having been told not to and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

There were 48 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
