Cornwall Police Charge SHANE BLANCHARD of Long Sault w Robbery x 3 041618

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Dussiaume, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on April 13th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on April 12th, 2018 for theft charges and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 13th, 2018 the man was located by police. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Krista Reid, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on April 13th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her probation order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 13th, 2018 the woman was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 13th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for being outside of his residence without his surety, as well as breach of youth probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 27th, 2018, while investigating another matter, police found the man to be outside of his residence and an investigation ensued. On April 13th, 2018, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as the conditions stem from when the man was a youth and is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Dustin Beddingfield, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on April 14th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 14th, 2018 the man was located by police, was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on May 3rd, 2018.

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 14th, 2018 and charged with assault and mischief under $5000. He was also charged with breach of probation for leaving his residence after consuming alcohol, and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 14th, 2018 the man attended a hotel with his ex-wife at which point they engaged in a verbal argument. During the argument the intoxicated man assaulted his ex-wife and a woman unknown to him, and damaged a television in the room. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ROBBERY, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, DISGUISE WITH INTENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Shane Blanchard, 29, of Long Sault was arrested on April 15th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Robbery – using a weapon x 3
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose x 3
• Disguise with intent x 3
• Breach of probation (for being in possession of a weapon and failing to keep the peace)
• Breach of undertaking (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on April 14th and April 15th, 2018 the man entered multiple convenience stores, concealing his identity, where he brandished a knife and demanded money. The man fled the area with a quantity of money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 15th, 2018 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.



ASSAULT, OVERCOME RESISTANCE

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 15th, 2018 and charged with assault and overcome resistance (choking). It is alleged between April 14th and April 15th, 2018 the man assaulted his girlfriend and choked her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 15th, 2018 and charged with breach of probation for being within 200 metres of his ex-girlfriend’s residence and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 13th, 2018 the man was found to be in breach of his conditions when he was seen outside the residence of his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 15th, 2018 he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
