Threats, Knives, & Assaults in Cornwall Ontario #CCPS 011418

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Adam Lacoste-Marshall, 26, of Ottawa was arrested on January 11th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on August 2nd, 2018 for a drug offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 11th, 2019, the man was arrested on the strength of the warrant. He was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – David Schulte, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on January 11th, 2019 and charged with threats. It is alleged on January 6th, 2019, the man made threats to kill employees of a local organization and police were contacted to investigate. On January 11th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, OVERCOME RESISTANCE (CHOKING), FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 12th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Assault
• Assault cause bodily harm
• Overcome resistance (choking)
• Forcible confinement
• Threats
• Breach of probation (failing to keep the peace and contacting his common-law-wife after consuming alcohol)

On January 3rd, 2019, the man allegedly assaulted his common-law-wife during an argument. It is further alleged on January 12th, 2019, the intoxicated man assaulted and choked her, made threats to kill her, as well as prevented her from leaving the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Leah Yendall, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on January 13th, 2019 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged the woman assaulted a man known to her with a knife and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

There were 108 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in over the weekend (8am Friday to 8am Monday morning).
