WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Keith Woodcox, 56, of Cornwall was arrested on January 21st, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on December 31st, 2018, the man removed various items from a residence belonging to a man known to him. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 21st, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on February 28th, 2019.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Joanne Poirier-McMahon, 44, of Chrysler was arrested on January 21st, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to report to the Cornwall Police Service. It is alleged the woman failed to report to police by phone on December 31st, 2018 and January 14th, 2019, despite her conditions. On January 21st, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 21st, 2019 and charged with domestic assault x 3. It is alleged between February 2017 and January 2019, the man assaulted his girlfriend on three occasions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 21st, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jacob Cook, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on January 21st, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, breach of undertaking and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 19th, 2019, the man attended a Water Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 21st, 2019, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
