POSSESSION OF HYDROMORPHONE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING METHAMPHETAMINE, POSSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Carriere, 30, of Ottawa was arrested on March 29th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Possession of hydromorphone
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Unauthorized possession of a weapon

It is alleged on March 29th, 2019, while investigating an unrelated matter, police located the man in possession of a quantity of hydromorphone, methamphetamine, Canadian and American currency, as well as a taser. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTER, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Angel Demontigny, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on March 29th, 2019 and charged with break and enter, as well as mischief under $5000. It is alleged the woman entered a Louisa Street residence without permission and damaged a door. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 30th, 2019 and charged with mischief under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to reside at a certain address and failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged during the early morning hours on March 30th, 2019, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and caused damage to a window. Police were contacted and located the man shortly thereafter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000 X 2

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Forget, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on March 30th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 x 2. It is alleged on March 28th, 2019, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. It is further alleged on March 30th, 2019, the man attended a Second Street East business and removed a quantity of chocolate bars, making no attempt to pay for the items. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2019.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80, RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – Thomas Cronkwright, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on March 31st, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80, and resist arrest. It is alleged during the early morning hours on March 31st, 2019, the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Pitt Street and Eighth Street when police conducted a traffic stop. The man was taken into custody after a brief struggle. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 11th, 2019.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Denise Portieous-Jodoin, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on March 31st, 2019 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court for a theft charged on December 18th, 2018 and a warrant was issued. It is further alleged on January 22nd, 2019, the woman removed kitchen appliances from a residence that did not belong to her and an additional warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 31st, 2019, while investigating an unrelated matter, police located the woman. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2019.
