WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 13th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on April 22nd, 2019, the youth and another man entered a Lauber Avenue residence without permission and removed multiple electronics. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 13th, 2019, the youth was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Devon Johnson, 20, of Akwesasne was arrested on August 13th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged the man attended a Marlborough Street gas bar and fueled his vehicle, making no attempt to pay for the fuel as he left the area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 13th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 10th, 2019.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Andrew Conway, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on August 13th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 13th, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000 X 4, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Steven Coleman, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on August 13th, 2019 and charged with four counts of theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between August 11-13th, the man attended a Second Street business on four occasions and removed liquor, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and located the man on August 13th, 2019. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 10th, 2019.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Olivier Lajoie, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on August 13th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on October 12th, 2018, the man damaged a wall, door, and window of a residence not belonging to him and police were contacted to investigate. On August 13th, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 10th, 2019.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Alexandria woman was arrested on August 13th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on July 16th, 2019, the woman assaulted her boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On August 13th, 2019, a member of the Cornwall Police Service assumed custody of the woman from the OPP, as the woman was in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and she remained in custody pending a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREAK AND ENTER X 2, ASSAULT X 2, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Rene Lang, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on August 14th, 2019 and charged with two counts of break and enter, two counts of assault, as well as mischief under $5000. It is alleged during the early morning hours on August 14th, 2019, the man forced his way into a Montreal Road business and removed merchandise. Later that morning, the man returned to the same business, damaged a glass case inside, and assaulted two men he did not know. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 52-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 13th, 2019 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged during an argument with his common-law-wife, the man made threats to kill her and police were contacted. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2019. His name as not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
