LALONDE Charged in Cornwall Ontario POLICE BLOTTER #CPS 121019

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 9th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault and criminal harassment. It is alleged during a dispute with his ex-girlfriend in November, the man assaulted her. The man also is alleged to have repeatedly contact the woman throughout November and December, despite being warned not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 9th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Ingram, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on December 9th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on May 23rd, the woman assaulted someone known to her and a warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest. On December 9th, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on January 9th, 2020.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Lalonde, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on December 10th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 18th, 2019, the woman attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 10th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 21st, 2020.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Dean Sinnott, 58, of Cornwall was arrested on December 10th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Thirteenth Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, was charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2019.
