BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Peter Garlough, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on December 31st, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance. It is alleged the man failed to report to the bail supervisor program as directed and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 1st, 2020 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with a certain person and being in the company of that person. It is alleged the man was found to be in the company of that person during a traffic stop in the early morning hours of January 1st, 2020. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 1st, 2020 and charged with assault with a weapon X2, Mischief X 2 and breach of a youth probation order X5. It is alleged during an argument on December 31st, 2019 the woman damaged a door and a mirror then assaulted her boyfriend and his friend with an object. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 54-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 1st, 2020 and charged with assault X2 and mischief. It is alleged during an argument on January 1st, 2020 the man broke some dishes and assaulted his girlfriend and her son. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, ON – Robert Scott, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on January 2nd, 2020 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged on January 2nd, 2020 the man forced his way into someone’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
INDECENT COMMUNICATION, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on January 2nd, 2020 and charged with indecent communications and criminal harassment. It is alleged during the month of December, 2019 the man repeatedly contacted his ex-common-law wife leaving several unwanted messages. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 2nd, 2020 police attended the Port of Entry as CBSA had the man detained on Cornwall’s charges. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 28th, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 2nd, 2020 and charged with threats and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address. It is alleged during an argument on January 2nd, 2020 the man threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
