Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for January 22, 2019 #CPS

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Lovepreet Singh, 23, of Brampton, ON was arrested on January 21st, 2020 and charged with breach of undertaking for being within 100 metres of a certain business. It is alleged on January 21st, 2020, the man was located within 100 metres of a Brookdale Avenue business, despite his conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Mike Manchulenko, 50, of Cornwall was arrested on January 21st, 2020 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the man failed to attend for prints on September 5th, 2019, as well as failed to attend court on September 12th, 2019, and warrants were subsequently issued for his arrest. On January 21st, 2020, a member of the Ontario Provincial Police attended police headquarters with the man, as he was taken into custody on the strength of the CPS warrant. The warrants were executed and the man remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Alyssa Printup, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on January 21st, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on January 21st, 2020, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as she left the store. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 18th, 2020.

DRUG WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – On the morning of January 21st, 2020, members of the Cornwall Police Service (CPS) Street Crime Unit, Criminal Investigation Division, Community Patrol and the Cornwall Emergency Response Team executed two drug warrants in connection to an ongoing drug investigation. The warrants were executed at a Cumberland Street residence and an Edward Street residence, and resulted in five individuals being taken into custody. Read more here.
