The Cornwall Police skipped reporting crime yesterday. We are trying to piece together some of the calls for service not reported or disclosed. They only disclosed the 3 issues below.

ASSAULT POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Robert Phillips, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on February 20th, 2020 and charged with assault police. It is alleged on February 20th, while police were investigating an unrelated incident, the man spat at a police officer. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 26th, 2020.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Karley Billard, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on February 20th, 2020 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to sign in. It is alleged on February 18th, 2020, the woman failed to sign into police, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. On February 20th, 2020, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 20th, 2020 and charged with domestic assault and breach of release order for contacting his girlfriend. It is alleged on February 20th, during an altercation with his girlfriend in the parking lot of a Second Street business, the man assaulted her and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
