CFN – Tragedy struck Cornwall Ontario for the second time early Saturday morning as another single vehicle took a life, this time of Ashley Freeman who was a passenger in the vehicle driven by as yet identified 22 year old driver.
Joel Quenneville, 17, died after losing control of his car on October 7 striking a pillar at the foot of the Seaway International Bridge near 5th Street.
From the Cornwall Police Department:
The Cornwall Community Police Service is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision which occurred on Second Street East between Amelia Street and Adolphus Street shortly after 5:45 a.m..on October 22nd, 2011. The motor vehicle was travelling on Second Street East when it lost control and struck a poll. Five individuals were in the motor vehicle at the time of the collision. Two of the passengers attended the Cornwall Community Hospital as a precaution. A 25 year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The motor vehicle collision is still under investigation by the Cornwall Community Police Service.
