Pride/Fierté Cornwall’s Winter Masquerade Ball will be held on Saturday, January 16th in the Heritage Room at the Best Western Parkway Inn, 1515 Vincent Massey Drive. (Click this Mapquest link for directions if you’re coming from out of town.
You can also check out their own website atwww.bestwesterncornwall.com.) Admission is $10.00 at the door, which will open at 9:00 pm. You must be of legal drinking age (19) for admittance.
As this is a ball – not your average, run-of-the-mill party – we kindly ask you to come in semi-formal attire if possible. And don’t forget that a mask is a must have accessory! Patrons who bring their own masks will be eligible for a prize in our outstanding mask competition.
If you don’t have one of your own, masks will be available at the door for $1.50 apiece but are free with a donation of pet food to the SD&G branch of the OSPCA. (The OSPCA also accepts many other items as donations if you prefer to give something other than pet food. Click on this link for their complete list.)
As always, there’ll be door prizes to be won, we’ll stage our ever-popular 50/50 draw and Sophie Lepage will be on hand selling all manner of Pride and rainbow-themed accessories. To complete the picture, we’ve booked DJ Alain Merizzi, one of Cornwall’s five-star DJ’s, to spin the tunes and keep you moving all night long. Please remember that due to time constraints and demand, all requests are on a “play if possible” basis.
