BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Natrhalie Beauchamps, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on September 2nd, 2015 and charged with breaching her recognizance for failing to report as required. It is alleged the woman failed to report as required on several occasions and police were contacted to investigate. On September 2nd, 2015 police located the woman at a Pitt Street address, took her into custody and charged her accordingly. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Inniger, 43 of no fixed address was arrested on September 2nd, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 25th, 2015 the man attended a Ninth Street store and removed a television making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. He was stopped by a store employee and left the area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 2nd, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 6th, 2015.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Kyle Kluke, 18 of Winchester was arrested on September 2nd, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on September 2nd, 2015 the man was operating a motor vehicle in the area of Rotary Lane while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody by police, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 17th, 2015.
OPP
THIS MONTH IN RUSSELL COUNTY NEWS
(EMBRUN, ON) – In the month of August 2015, the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 1023 occurrences. Among those occurrences OPP responded to 82 collisions, 16 thefts, 43 domestics, 3 impaired drivers and 4 drug related occurrences.
As a result of those occurrences, 45 charges were laid for various offences.
Domestic Dispute
In relation to the domestic incidents, three females and nine males were charged with a variety of charges from domestic related assault, assault with a weapon, utter threat, criminal harassment, mischief under, fail to comply with probation\court order to resisting arrest. The accused persons will not identified to protect the identity of the victims.
Impaired driver
Within the 24 hours period of August 23, 2015, Russell County OPP arrested and charged two females and one male in relation to impaired driving. Krystel Blanchard, Marie-Eve Leclerc and Micheal Lenser will attend the L’Orignal court for their first appearance in September 2015.
Thefts
There were 2 Chevrolet Equinox 2006 model vehicles stolen in Clarence Rockland between the 21st and 23rd of August 2015. Both vehicles were recovered with extensive damaged.
Traffic violation
On August 28, 2015, a vehicle was stopped for speeding on Highway 417 Westbound. The driver was arrested for Marihuana possession and refusing to provide breath sample. A 6yr old child was in the rear passenger seat in vehicle at time of the offence.
Two males were charged for speeding 146 and 147km/h in the posted 90km/h zone on County Road 17 in Clarence Rockland. Their vehicles were impounded and their driver licences were suspended.
IMPAIRED DRIVER
(South Dundas) – On September 2, 2015 at approximately 5:22pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle on County Road 8, South Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Victoria SALLERY (22) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 15, 2015.
THEFT
(South Glengarry) – On September 2, 2015 at approximately 6:38pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of the theft of a Boat from a property on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that sometime between (August 31, 2015- September 02, 2015) a 2013 14.5 foot Fishing Boat “Alumacraft Fisherman” was removed form Grey’s Creek Marina.
An Investigation continues.
Domestic Investigation
(South Dundas) – On September 2, 2015 at approximately 8:19pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Doran creek Drive, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her husband resulted in the female assaulting the male with a weapon. No injuries were suffered by the victim.
The 68-year-old female from South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault with a weapon
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on September 29, 2015. The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
CHARGES LAID
(South Glengarry) – As a result of a sexual assault investigation conducted by members of the Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police, assisted by the SD&G OPP Crime Unit, an 18yr old male resident of North Glengarry was arrested on September 2, 2015.
The 18yr old male resident of North Glengarry faces charges of:
– Sexual Assault with a person under 16 years of age
The above charges are in relation to incidents involving a young girl.
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria October 14, 2015.
The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
