DUI in South Stormont SD&G OPP Round Up for JAN 18, 2016

FROM/DE: Stormont, Dundas &                                 DATE: January 18^th, 2016                    Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment                                                  (North Dundas) – On January 15, 2016 at approximately 10:49 am, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on County Road 38 in North Dundas Township.  Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his girlfriend resulted in the male assaulting the female victim.

An adult male (48) from North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

–           Assault

The Male was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 4, 2016. The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

ASSAULT AND BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(North Stormont) – On January 15, 2016 at approximately 10:40pm Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to report of a disturbance on Concession Road 5, North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that an adult male was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.  Once in Custody the adult male had an altercation with officers at Detachment.  The male threatened and assaulted officers.  The male also attempted to disarm the officer.

Patrick ETHIER (23) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault a Peace Officer

– Uttering Threats

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Probation Order (8 Counts)

– Disarming a peace officer

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Recognizance

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(South Glengarry) – On January 16, 2016 at approximately 1:20am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on South Service Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Nelson CAMPBELL (37) of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on February 3, 2016.

MISCHIEF

(North Dundas) – On January 16, 2016 at approximately 8:36am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to report of a disturbance on Connaught Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an adult male had caused damage to a household.

Brady LEBLANC-CLOST (20) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

• Mischief ( 2 Counts)He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on March 1, 2016.
• IMPAIRED DRIVER(South Stormont) – On January 17, 2016 at approximately 10:59 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 2, South Stormont Township. I nvestigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

  Robin HUNTER (39) of South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

  – Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

  – Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

  He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 28, 2016.
