(Ottawa) – Today, the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section (SACA) laid additional charges of Sexual Assault x2 and Sexual Interference x2 against Naoum ABI-SAMRA, 57 years old, of Gatineau in relation to complaints from a second and third victim.
The charges stem from incidents that occurred between September 2013 to January 2014 and January 2016 to March 2016, while the accused was employed by the Central East French Catholic School Board (CECCE) and the victims were students.
Officers are continuing to investigate, and they remain concerned that there might be other victims.
“The Ottawa Police will respect a victim’s wishes to pursue or not pursue the matter before the courts,” said Staff Sergeant Angela McDade, SACA. “The reporting of these incidents by victims to police is key for investigators to identify suspects and determine crime trends.”
