BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Ceason Gagne, 19, Stepha Franklin, 26, Delaina Mallory, 18 and a 16-year-old youth all from Cornwall were arrested and charged with two counts of break and enter each. Gagne was also charged with assault, Franklin with breach of probation and Mallory for breach of undertaking. It is alleged in the early morning hours of May 5th, 2016 all four entered a Fourth Street address without permission and Gagne assaulted the occupant who is known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation Gagne, Franklin and Mallory were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing, while the 16-year-old youth was charged and released to appear in court at a later date.
ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 7th, 2016 and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged during an argument on May 7th, 2016 the man punched his 34-year-old common-law wife all the while holding a pipe in a threatening manner. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREACH
Cornwall, On – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 7th, 2016 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with her ex-common-law husband. It is alleged during the months of March and April, 2016 the woman attended her ex’s place of work and sent him text messages. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 19th, 2016. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 7th, 2016 and charged with two counts of threats. It is alleged the man threatened his 29-year-old ex-common-law wife on May 6th and 7th, 2016 and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 16th, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THEFT UNDER $5000, RESIST ARREST, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 8th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000, resist arrest and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 8th, 2016 the youth entered a Ninth Street store and removed bacon making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. The youth then fled from the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The youth was located a short distance away, taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
