WANTED MALE ARRESTED
(South Grenville) – On December 15, 2015 at approximately 3:19pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a pedestrian on Canal Street, Cardinal, Ontario. Information indicated that the accused was wanted by the SD&G OPP. Investigation also indicated that the male was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.
James ELLIS (29) of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (6 counts)
– fail to Comply with Probation order (6 counts)
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(North Dundas) – On December 14, 2016 at approximately 7:12am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Main Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her boyfriend had occurred. The altercation resulted in the accused throwing a coffee cup striking the male. (Minor injuries resulted).
The 19-year-old female from North Dundas was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault With a Weapon
She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 24, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victims.
IMPAIRED BY DRUG
(North Dundas) – On December 16, 2016 at approximately 12:50am, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on Church Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of a drug. The stop also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana and Oxycodone.
Robert GIESEL (33) of North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Drive a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by a Drug
– Possession of a Controlled Substance ( 2 counts)
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on January 10, 2017.
