FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
Cornwall, ON – On August 19th, 2019 at approximately 7:15 am, the Cornwall Police Service (CPS) was called to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a car. The collision occurred just east of the intersection of Ninth Street and Sydney Street. The driver of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the car did not sustain injuries at the time of the collision.
The next of kin of the deceased have been notified and out of respect for the family, no further details are being released at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing. The area of the collision is expected to remain closed for several hours to allow for police to conduct their investigation. Motorists are being continued to ask to please avoid the area.
