Liberal Senator George Baker from Newfoundland and Labrador is under attack by the Harper government for comments he has made about Newfoundland and Labrador forming a Bloc Quebecois type political party if the government doesn’t deal in a manner they feel more fair to Newfoundland and Labrador.
He (BAKER) said the Prime Minister’s Office wants him out of the Liberal caucus not because of anything he said on the radio, but because the Conservatives fear Baker may disrupt smooth passage of the budget implementation bill, which is now before the Senate.
