Over 1000 people today were treated to a star studded Labour Day afternoon in Lamoureux Parc. 
City Councilors Glen Grant, 
Bernadette Clement, Elaine MacDonald, Kim Baird, Syd Gardiner, and Miss Gay National Capital Zelda Marshall 
joined NDP Candidate Darlene Jalbert who hosted a day of entertainment, good food, good company, and a fine march around the parc to celebrate Labour in our area.
Face painting, 
a lot of games and entertainment for the future Labour force in attendance, and all around good family fun on a warm and perfect sunny day.
Yes, there were speeches, and some good ones too. There are a lot of important issues facing Labour today; more so in some ways than since the 30’s as there seems to be a war against the Labour movement in North America.
