FATAL COLLISION-HIGHWAY 138
(North Stormont) – SD&G OPP officers advise that the serious collision on Highway 138, North Stormont Township is now a fatal collision.
The investigation revealed that a south bound pick-up truck was in the process of passing a farm tractor (also south bound) when it collided with a north bound passenger vehicle.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was airlifted to the Ottawa Civic Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His female passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two children also in the vehicle were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The male driver of the pick-up truck and his female passenger were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer that was north bound following the passenger vehicle was not injured and had only minor damage to his front end.
The names of the involved are being withheld until notification of the next-of-kin.
SD&G OPP officers, assisted by Technical Traffic Investigators continue the investigation.
