MPP REVISES SCHEDULE
Brownell rescheduling appointments to ensure constituents get best services
NEWS December 3, 2009
After having surgery, Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry MPP Jim Brownell has been advised to revise his schedule.
The MPP underwent shoulder surgery at Toronto’s Sunnybrook-Holland Hospital last week, and, while recovering, was admitted to the Cornwall Community Hospital for unrelated medical tests and treatment.
Brownell will be out of commission indefinitely. He has asked staff to reschedule meetings and events in order to ensure citizens of the riding get the best possible representation from their Member of Provincial Parliament.
His Constituency Assistant, Jeremy Gowsell, will represent him at events in the riding, and Executive Assistant, Brian Kulick, will continue to handle things at Queen’s Park.
QUOTES
“I find this very difficult, as I love working as the representative at Queen’s Park, for the citizens of this riding,” said Brownell. “But right now I have to regain my health in order to be there, primarily for my family, but also to be the most effective member possible for Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry.”
“I thank my staff, Julie, Kim, Andrew, Brian and Jeremy for their tremendous support during these difficult times, and I thank all my family, friends, and constituents for their prayers and encouragement.”
