PROJECT “PARADIGM” IS A DRUG ENFORCEMENT TEAM COMPRISED OF OFFICERS FROM THE ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE DRUG ENFORCEMENT SECTION OTTAWA UNIT AND EASTERN REGION ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE DETACHMENTS AND CORNWALL COMMUNITY POLICE SERVICE
WARRANT EXECUTED
(South Dundas) – On 29Dec09, at approximately 12:30pm, Project “Paradigm” members, assisted by SD&G OPP officers, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant at a residence on County Road 18 South Dundas, Township.
Inside the residence, officers arrested a female (Samantha Simzer 26yrs ) and three male’s (Randy James Markell 36yrs, Roger Bruce Markell 39yrs) the female and two of the males reside on County Road 18, South Dundas while the third male (Daniel Houde 26yrs resides in Saint – Zotique, QC).
The following items were seized;
- 19 marihuana plants
- 816 grams marihuana
- 41 grams hashish
- 55grams hashish oil
The female faces charges of:
- Possession for the Purpose
- Production
- Possession
Two of the males (Roger Markell and Daniel Houde) face charges of:
- Possession for the Purpose
- Possession
The third male (Randy James Markell) faces charges of:
- Production
- Possession
The street value of the seized drugs is approximately $28,000.00
The three males and the female are scheduled to appear 02 Mar 2010 in Morrisburg court.
No reports of officers stopping at Billy K’s with the munchies were reported although Bob Marley cuts from the Album “Legend” were reported to be coming from one of the cruisers as they departed.
