Habs Edged by Sens 3-2 – Vancouver Over Toronto 5-3 – Calgary Ignites Oilers 6-1 NHL ROUND UP January 31, 2010

Tomas Plekanec didn’t play like a little girl last night.

His two power play assists though weren’t enough to give Montreal the win as they fell to the Senators in Overtime in Ottawa.

Jaroslav Halak took the loss.

My favorite Hab Michael Cammallieri took a huge Anton Volchenkov hit that sent both players off the ice; sadly Mike headed to the dressing room with a lower body injury.

Ottawa out shot Montreal 5-0 in Overtime.

The over time point put the Habs back in 8th place in the conference standings.

The Sedin Twins line was too much for Phil Kessell who potted two goald as the Maple Leafs who fell 5-3 in Toronto.

Calgary got back into the win column with a manly 6-1 stomping of the Lottery pick bound Edmonton Oilers.   The Oilers opened the scoring with a Sam Gagner goal, but that was it.   6 Calgary goals later there was joy in Sutter land.
